Victoria and Rick are avid world travelers who have made Weston, MO, their home since 2007. They are drawn to the town’s charming history, its vibrant community, and, of course, the stunning countryside. Rick, originally from a farm in Madison County, Iowa, joined the Navy in 1981 and traveled the globe multiple times. Despite his adventures, he’s never felt more at home than he does in Weston, where he lives happily with Victoria and their son, James. Rick is also the manager of Hippie Hills Farm. Victoria, a fellow global nomad, has lived in several countries and brings a wealth of experience in global project management, hospitality, and event planning. Victoria also served as the executive director at the the Weston Chamber of Commerce for almost 3 years. She knows knows what's going on in Weston. Both Rick and Victoria love welcoming guests to Hippie Hills, where they can enjoy a peaceful retreat with animals to care for and a hot tub to unwind in. Together, Rick and Victoria have created a warm and inviting farm stay that’s both fun and relaxing.
Welcome to our little slice of farmhouse paradise—where charm is plentiful, animals have zero concept of personal space, and hidden surprises lurk around every corner (the good kind, we promise). We took this old farmhouse, gave it some much-needed TLC, and turned it into a whimsical retreat. Guests love wandering from room to room like treasure hunters, discovering all the quirky little details we’ve tucked away. And yes, we keep the place spotless, because even whimsy deserves a clean home.
Now, about those animals. They’ve decided they come with the package—no extra charge. Our three dogs, Bear, Ally, and Bullet, have an extremely advanced guest-welcoming system: car pulls up → instant excitement → frisbee or ball presented as a gift. They will patiently (or not-so-patiently) wait on the porch for you to accept their generous offer of playtime.
Then there’s Slim and Shady—the donkeys, not the rappers. These two are morning people, which means if you're enjoying coffee on the porch, prepare for a full-on breakfast negotiation. They know there’s a basket of apples and carrots up there, and they want their cut of the deal. Immediately.
Our two cats, Potato and French Fry, have embraced their mysterious, independent streaks—probably from hanging out with the dogs too much. They appear when they feel like it, often accompanying guests on hikes like tiny, judgmental trail guides.
And let’s not forget the stars of the show—our horses, Pieces and Jasper. They enjoy a good head scratch and, if timing is right, Victoria might even help guests experience a deeper connection with these gentle giants.
If you love animals, you’ll fit right in at Hippie Hills. And if you don’t love animals… well, they’ll probably convince you otherwise.
Beyond our little farm, we’re just minutes from Weston, Missouri—an adorable town packed with unique shops, live entertainment, orchards, wineries, a distillery, and historic homes. After a full day of exploring, Hippie Hills is the perfect place to kick back, relax, and soak in the magic. And yes, we saved the best for last—the hot tub. There’s just something about sinking into bubbling warmth under a sky full of country stars that makes life feel extra dreamy.
So come as you are, embrace the adventure, and remember: All you really need is Peace, Love, and Hippie Hills.
